ARCADIAN INC. has been a stocking master distributor of wireless gear and networking electronic components since the summer of 2000.  Today, our specialties include radios, antennas mounting brackets and coax cable for wireless systems.  Our core products include radios from Sierra Wireless & Ubiquiti, as well as antennas from Laird Technologies (Antenex, Centurion, Cushcraft and Pac Wireless) Pulse / Larsen and Times 7.  You can count on our account managers to provide you with technical input for your wireless application as well as fair pricing and fast delivery.

Since January 2003, the company has been led by our current owner and General Manager, Mike Crudele.  Mike holds a BA in political science as well as an MBA in both marketing and management.  With 20 years of industry experience, and a family that has been "in the business" since 1960, Mike has an unparalleled appreciation for how the company needs to be run in order to keep our 3 "stakeholders" happy (our customers, our employees and our vendor / rep partners.)  However, he understands that the "old way" is not the only way to do business.  It is his constant efforts to allow the business to evolve that has kept Arcadian viable in an ever-changing economy.

The recent addition of Shawn Bays as director of sales & marketing reinforces the company's dedication to continued growth in the strategic areas of RFID, iDAS & wireless M2M.  Shawn comes to Arcadian Inc. with 20 years of experience in the industry included several years in distribution, ownership in a rep firm, and strategic account management at major silicon vendor TriQuint Semiconductor.

LINE CARD: Our line card includes some of today's top name brands in wired and wireless communications, including:

Bel: Bel Fuse, Bel Power, Stewart Connector & Cinch. Products included MagJack RJ45 connectors with integrated ethernet magnetics, homeplug a/v modules, fuses, DC/DC converters, Cat5 and Cat6 jacks and plugs, and high speed cable assemblies like MRJ21, Infiniband, CX4 and QSFP.

Sierra Wireless.  Products include a full lineup of modems and routers for RF wireless connectivity over 3G & 4G/LTE cellular GSM, GPRS, GSM EDGE, CDMA 1xEVDO Rev. A or GSM HSDPA.

Laird Technologies: Antenex, Centurion Wireless, Cushcraft, and Pacific Wireless. A robust portfolio of antennas for board level wi-fi, bluetooth and zigbee 2.4ghz and 5.0 ghz as well as the most comprehensive collection of commercial antennas - Phantom omnidirectional, fiberglass, mesh networking, yagi, A base, B base, sector antennas, for Cellular PCS, UHF RFID, WLAN, SCADA, iDAS, Public Safety /LMR UHF & VHF.  In addition, Laird offers PoE midspan devices, lightning arrestors, NMO cable kits, RF cable assemblies and die cast enclosures.
 

Pulse Electronics: Larsen Antennas.  A long time leader in Public Safety / LMR antenna technology, Larsen offers antennas for Low band, mid band, UHF, VHF multi-band, cellular, SMR, PCS, and GPS.  LPT-low profile transit antennas for NMO mobile applications, base station antennas including fiberglass and yagi, standard and high frequency NMO mounts / cable kits and the very best selection of GPS antennas.

RAM MOUNTS: Easy to assemble, inexpensive, light weight fully articulating mounting solutions for UHF RFID antennas.

We are NOT a general line distributor or a broker. We are a “niche” master distributor, a specialist. We firmly believe in the intrinsic value of distribution, a value that can be appreciated by all of our partners…customers, component manufacturers and the local manufacturer’s representatives.

You see, Pareto’s Law implies that 80% of a company’s revenue comes from 20% of it’s customers. In the world of electronic components, this means that component manufacturers’ are compelled to focus the majority of their resources supporting a few strategic customers on a “direct” basis. We agree that this is a sound and successful business strategy, but it leaves many would-be customers suffering from a lack of attention, and fails to adequately build a component manufacturers customer base for the future.

At ARCADIAN INC. our business was built around bringing the products of these innovative component manufacturers to the “other 80%” of the customers.

ARCADIAN INC. How we do it...

Currently, we have two offices servicing our international customer base. One in the United States and one in Hong Kong, and our customers choose the location that works best for their unique needs.

We do NOT have a traditional outside sales force that knocks on doors, and hands out catalogs. We partner with the local manufacturer’s reps, the experts “on the ground” in each geography that we cover, and allow them to do what they do best… introduce the product in their territory and “create demand.” ARCADIAN INC’ role is to take it from there, to “nurture, fulfill, and retain that demand.” We take referrals from the component manufacturers and local reps, and do whatever is necessary to “Make GREAT products available to EVERYONE.  

We provide technical assistance, arrange for samples, provide accurate price and delivery quotes, coordinate follow up between the customer, rep and manufacturer, take orders large and small, offer value added customizing capabilities, and offer innovative inventory management solutions.

We do it by being... FAST

1. FAST: we respond fast to RFQs, sample requests and technical inquires. Typically in 1 hour or less.
2. ACCOMODATING: we are more FLEXIBLE: we break MOQ’s, ship same day, take credit cards, have a low order min, etc.
3. STOCK: we see inventory as an investment, an asset, not as a liability so we stock "A items" and put customer specific stock in place at a client's request or at the suggestion of a vendor or rep partner.
4. TECHNICAL: we know what we’re selling so we can offer options that work best for everyone
