Blackchip MAF95029 aka WIC2450 antenna from Laird Technologies / Centurion for 802.11

I just came across a March 6, 2007 press release from LAIRD (formerly Centurion Wireless) antennas about their BLACKCHIP antenna, and wanted to share my thoughts on this device. Please note that the BlackChip is called out as part # MAF95029 or WIC2450-A. As LAIRD's exclusive distributor for their wireless antenna line, ARCADIAN SALES www.arcadiansales.com sells lots and lots of BLACKCHIP antennas, and our customers love it. Here are some basics on this device:
1. Small size, (8x6x2.5mm, .21 grams, surface mount, RoHS compliant, packaging=tape and reel
2. Wide Bandwidth: Frequency range of 2.4 - 2.5 GHz and 4.9 - 6.0 GHz
3. Wide temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees celsius
4. Applications: 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth
